I LOVE MILKMAKERS!
I actually received two bags of Milkmakers cookies as a gift. I have never had an issue with milk supply, but my second little girl (4 months) was going through a huge growth spurt and I could not produce enough to satiate her through all of her feedings and was having to tap into my "stash" of frozen milk and bottle feed her, which she is not such a fan of, so feedings were becoming a bit difficult. These came just in time, not only did they replenish my supply but they did it FAST, within a day my supply was back up and I've been able to keep up with her ever since. I was excited because not only are they delicious (I have to hide them from the rest of the family), but I love the nutrition content as well. It makes me feel good to know that I'm producing milk that is nutrient rich for my growing baby. Love em' love em' love em'!! Will keep these in my bag of "mommy tricks".
What a difference these cookies made for my milk supply! I was not very fortunate to have a vast milk supply until I was given these cookies as a gift. I am now done with breastfeeding but still enjoy my milkmakers cookies because they are so tasty. In fact, my husband was the first one to tap into the supply in the freezer.
Milkmakers Cookies. FRESH! Convenient -...
A few months ago I was watching one of my favorite shows, The Doctors, and saw a segment on milkmakers cookies. were born from the desires of a mom looking to keep up her milk supply when she returned to work by utilizing homemade lactation cookies she read so much about. Emily, the founder of milkmakers, experimented with many recipes before creating her own delicious and nutritious recipe utilizing key ingredients such as brewer’s yeast and ground flax. Brewer’s yeast has been shown to increase and stimulate the production and flow of breast milk and is a rich source of minerals and B-complex vitamins, while flax seed provides Omega-3’s which has been linked to brain development. Milkmakers recommends 1-2 of these 230 calorie cookies per day to reap the benefits.
Key ingredients in Milkmakers include oats, brewers yeast, and flax seed. Oats and brewer's yeast are natural galactagogues, and flax seed provides an abundance of omega-3 fatty acids which can be passed from mother to baby through breast milk. Nourish yourself and your little one. Milkmakers cookie mixes have gluten-free and dairy-free options. Bake them up with butter substitute for dairy-free. For gluten-free, order this option.
