The Lego 75003 A-Wing Starfighter was an RZ-1 model interceptor designed by Alliance Underground Engineering and Incom Corporation. It was a small starfighter that had twin Novaldex J-77 Event Horizon engines, which were regarded as one of the most powerful sublight thrusters in the galaxy for more than 20 years. The ship could fly at speeds over 1,300 kilometers per hour. However, it did not have space for an astromech, which left the pilot to manage several more systems in the ship on his own. Additionally, the A-wing’s controls and design made it challenging for most pilots to fly, let alone to use it effectively and to its maximum potential in combat. It was armed with two Borstel RG-9 laser cannons, two Dymek HM-6 concussion missile launchers and six concussion missiles. Because of its significant firepower and exceptional speed, many thought that it outclassed the Empire’s TIE fighter, which had similar characteristics and flaws.
In the Assembly of this model I have based part (front) in an existing A-Wing (model LEGO 75003) market. But there are enough differences especially in the rear of the cockpit, engines and weapons. Two laser cannons powerful in the front part of the nose. two torpedo launchers Proton on both sides of the cockpit and under the wings of two large cannons of ions with sufficient power to restrain fighters enemies and capital ships successfully for a short period of time.
